In this guide, we will go through how to check your polling station through SMS. IEBC (Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission) has a short code(70000) which you can use to check your registration details.
Check your registration details through SMS
- Open your phone SMS.
- Enter the number 70000 as the number you want to send the text to.
- Next, enter your ID number or Passport number then # simbol followed by your year of birth without spacing the message. e.g.
1234567#1990 - Then send the message. Note, that the SMS costs 10 Kenya shillings.
- You will get your registration details such as Name, County, Constituency, Ward and Polling Centre as shown below.
